TECH TERM TUESDAY QR codes, or Quick Response codes, are a type of barcode that can be scanned using a smartphone camera. Information is stored as a series of pixels in a square-shaped grid and can be used to encode website links or other data. QR codes have become popular in marketing by allowing a quick way to access a website, social media page, or contact information. Many restaurants now use QR codes for customers to access their menus. NOTE: Some people do not wisely use QR codes on Zoom calls. It's better to put your link in the chat instead of expecting people to scan your QR, especially if they are already using their phone! PROBLEM: Identify a problem or desire that your audience is experiencing. Understanding their wants and needs increases engagement with your message. AGITATE: Once the problem is identified, you agitate it by highlighting the pain points and consequences of not solving the problem. This should evoke an emotional response, increasing the urgency for a solution. SOLUTION: Present your product or service as the solution to the problem. This is where you explain how it can alleviate their pain points and improve their situation, encouraging them to take a specific action, such as making a purchase or signing up for more information.
